How can we build a socially just, equitable, and inclusive community engagement movement at and beyond UW Bothell? In the Office of Community-Based Learning and Research, we believe movement building necessarily engages a diverse range of constituents who can interact and engage across many spaces, modalities, tensions, and differences. As such, this blog space aims to bring you into the folds of this movement by offering the following:
• Project highlights and reflections from students, faculty, staff, and our extra-campus partners
• A Tumblr which features thought-provoking media that influences the ways in which we think about and enact community engagement theories and practices
• Profiles of current faculty, staff, and student fellows who have committed themselves to a year-long effort to help us build the movement for community engagement
• Critical conversation pieces that challenge some of the common sense thinking in the community engagement field
• Opportunities for you to get involved in the conversation and action
